Acrobatic Arts, or acro, as it is more commonly referred to, is a fusion of classical dance technique and acrobatic or gymnastic elements, blended in a dance context.   The Acrobatic Arts syllabus is a 12 level program that includes over 350 skills which are taught with logical and safe progressions, and include balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering.  Dancers will improve their flexibility and strength and add new skills to their dance vocabulary.

Erin Chansisay has recently completed her certification with Acrobatic Arts and will be teaching all acro classes.  Proper mats and equipment will be used to ensure safety and to support the dancers’ training.

Dive Roll In order to register in Acrobatic Arts classes, students must be taking other dance classes at CSD.  For students ages 8 and older, they must be taking an additional 2 hours/week of dance classes.  Dancers should wear the same dance uniform as they wear for jazz, contemporary or musical theatre classes at their level.

Maximum Class Size: 10 students
