Musical Theatre is a form of entertainment that combines song, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance to communicate the emotional and story content of a stage piece.  Some of the most famous musicals include: The Sound of Music, Cats, West Side Story, Les Miserables, Oklahoma! and Phantom of the Opera.  Musicals continue to delight audiences around the world, but most notably in West End productions in London and Broadway theatres in New York City.

CSD_8190-57 -  croppedStudents will learn to develop their performance skills as they learn choreography and lyrics to many popular musical productions.

Students in Grade 3 level and up are eligible to take musical theatre, but must be taking at least one other dance class in either ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop or contemporary. Please see current schedule for class times.
